Nengliang (Aaron) Yao (2013)

 

Current Position: Research scientist in Geriatrics, University of Virginia School of Medicine and at FastHSR.

Brief Bio: My research focuses on the healthcare in cancer patients including quality of care, comparative effectiveness research, patient-centered outcome research, health disparities, and clinical epidemiology. I have worked extensively with large databases such as Medicare claims. I use econometric modeling, spatial analysis, and network analysis. My research was supported by a R25 grant from National Cancer Institute and a research grant from the Rockefeller-endowed China Medical Board. I was the co-PI of a Komen Foundation graduate training grant on Breast Cancer Disparities in low income women. I was also a section editor of Annals of Translational Medicine.
