Is Demography recognized as a STEM field?

Yes, in the summer of 2023, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security defined demography as a STEM-designated program  (code: 45.0501). Therefore, earning a  dual-title degree in Demography from Penn State would allow international students with an F-1 visa to apply for up to 24 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT).
